N.C. & the Oaten Monocle
Abandoned by his host family in England on a cultural exchange visit in the 30's, the young Chimbonda wanders a disused mansion and discovers a plot to smear cyanide on the monocles of great public figures.

Why oaten?' Is this an ffect of cyanide on glass? Suggest 'smeared' or 'deadly' as more apposite adjectives for the poisoned eyewear.
